Lavender Lemonade Recipe

LAVENDER LEMONADE RECIPE
This is a drink that has been served at the Farm in Mona, Utah during our Convention Farm Day Tour, and
gets rave reviews.

7 lemons, peeled & juiced
2 limes, peeled & juiced
14 cups water
1-1/2 cups Blue Agave
1 drop lavender essential oil

Mix all ingredients together and chill. Add more water or Blue Agave, depending on the size and tartness of the fruit.
For most of us, this would be a very large amount; you can cut it in half, while still adding 1 drop of the oil.  VERY refreshing!

Natural Remedy for Seasonal Allergies – Essential Oils Testimonials

As long as I can remember my allergies have held me hostage from doing anything outdoors without being miserable. As a child, my grandmother would give me Benedryl and have to close the windows if someone was mowing the grass, of course it would knock me out. As I got older there were various medicatios that I hated to take because of the way they made me feel.
At long last, I found a natural remedy for seasonal allergies with Young Living Essential Oils! At the beginning of the season, I take 4 drops of Lavender, 2 drops of lemon and 1 of peppermint in a capsule 3 times a day for 3 or 4 days (I can feel when I am up to par!) and that will do me for the season! If I feel effects of the pollens in the air, I do it again for a couple days and I am good… actually I am GREAT! I have owned a convertible for the past year, never in my lifetime did I think that would even be an option!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, many good stories in our family!

Testimonials – Lavender & Frankincense for eye injury

My son fell out of his bunk bed and busted open his eyebrow requiring 7 stitches. The dr. who stitched him said that he would have a big black eye for a few day. When it happened I immediately applied frankincense and lavender around his eye and reapplied when we got home from the ER. I continued to put a drop or two of frankincense and lavender around his eye socket for several days.

He never got a big “shiner” and by the end of the week after taking his stitches out on day 5, it was barely visible that he had even cut his eyebrow. No infection, little scarring and calm child within two minutes of it happening, the ER staff was amazed how well he handled the repair of his injury.

Wound healing with essential oils

“Gary Young when talking in Rhode Island gave his formula for all wound healing.This is for people and pets.

Helichrysum – Natural anesthetic and hemostat, also chelating agent. Neryl Acetate compounds do this. Dissolve blood clots.
Melrose – won’t sting.

Uses in this order:
Helichrysum
Melrose

Frankincense won’t sting if the first 2 are there. Highest in DNA repair we have.
Frankincense, Myrrh and Melissa – are the 3 for tissue repair.
Fast tissue regeneration formula.

Sandalwood – because the Terpenes in Helichrysum are very dehydrating he uses Sandalwood to restore, otherwise tissue will scar. And apply Animal Scent Ointment over the oils to keep it sealed and moist.

He says: One reason I don’t use Lavender or at least warn folks to be careful: If a nerve is exposed NEVER put Lavender on it. Excruciatingly painful when lavender is on a nerve. That’s why Helichrysum and Melrose are safer to use.”

Essential Oils for Back to School

Back to School is upon us and with that come anxieties, little aches and pains as well as colds and runny noses. Here are some wonderful safe and natural suggestions I received today from my sponsor Darby, enjoy!
Below are some suggested oils great for kids. They can be used singly or you can blend a few of them together.Bergamot Essential oil – calms the nervous system & reduces anxiety.
Apply on tissue to inhale or soles of feet for long lasting effect.

Eucalyptus globulus – a great respiratory support;
It is helpful for coughs and sinus issues. Place on hands or tissue to breathe in.

Orange essential oil – is helpful with stress & mental fatigue.
Use on soles of feet or diffuse during study time.

Lavender essential oil – well known as a calming oil.
Place on soles of feet or temples for comfort.

Mandarin or Tangerine – these are uplifting oils and
Mandarin is used in classrooms in Europe.
Diffuse or place on tissue to inhale.

Peppermint essential oil – considered to be a mental stimulant and
is good for study focus. Diffuse during study time.

Pine or Balsam Fir essential oil – good for nervous exhaustion.
Mix with carrier oil for muscle pain and place over area of concern.

Rosemary essential oil – a brain stimulant and also
helpful with respiratory problems. Diffuse or place on tissue for inhalation.

Tea Tree essential oil – a great immune system booster.
Place on soles of feet.

Spring Essentials for strong immune system and less allergies

The sun is out, flowers are blooming, life is coming back in full force. For some though this means allergy and bug bite season is starting. Spring is meant to be spent outside enjoying the colors and natures re-birth.
To help you enjoy spring and summer I have made a list of some of my personal Spring Essentials. I hope this will come in handy.

Allergy relief:

My favorite oil/blend to help calm allergies is RC:

This blend is composed of 3 types of eucalyptus, lavender, marjoram, peppermint and is perfect to soothe the respiratory system and provide sinus relief. I recommend putting one drop in the palm of your hand and cupping your nose and mouth and inhaling deeply a few times a day or when needed. You will feel a difference right away.

Bug bites:

Prevention: For those evening bbq parties I would recommend putting a few drops of any of the following on your wrists, ankles, behind your knees, elbows and neck:

Lemongrass: On top of aiding the circulatory system and being a strong antioxidant, Lemongrass is also a great mosquito and bug repellent.

Lemon and Peppermint would also be a great combination. A word to the wise, Peppermint is very strong so less is more. Avoid using Lemongrass or Lemon if you are going in the sun as these can stain your skin.

Bug bite relief:

For those itchy bug bites I recommend using Lavender alone or Lavender and Peppermint together. Another great solution for bug bites is Purification.
On a side note, Lavender essential oil is a powerful antibacterial and can be applied directly to cuts and scrapes to help disinfect and heal the cut.
