Wow what a name! Magnify your purpose is one of my favorite Young Living blends, I use it during meditation, when I undertake a big project or simply when I want to feel inspired. This delicious essential oil blend contains sandalwood, rosewood, sage, nutmeg, patchouli, cinnamon bark and ginger. It is a perfect balance of light flowery fragrance, with spice and earthiness.

Sage and sandalwood help calm, clear and inspire your busy mind making space for quiet moments of relaxation and new ideas. Apply a drop to your wrists and to your palms, cup your nose with your hands. Inhale slowly through the nose and exhale through the mouth. It’s all about finding balance speed and multitasking is fine as long as you can give yourself time to regularly do something you truly enjoy preferable something that does not involve loud noises, a screen or intense stimulation.

Stop nosebleeds with Essential Oils

Here is a great tip brought back from the recent Young Living convention. “My oldest son has a nose bleed, so I put Cypress oil on his arm. It goes into the veins very quickly and his nose bleed stops.” Cypress is a delightful oil used in Raindrop technique for it’s effect on the circulatory system.

We observe our children, and we know when they are getting sick. This is the time to act. We put several drops of Thieves or Immupower under their feet. And more often than not they feel better within 12 to 48hours.

Essential Oils for Snoring

Attention all you partners of snorers:

Here are some oils that have worked well for some in reducing or stopping snoring. Now these may not work for everyone but it sure is worth trying don’t you think?

Here are two solutions gathered from testimonials I have received recently:

“Valor on the feet at bedtime has usually done the trick to stop my husband’s snoring and apnea.“

“If I was snoring, I’d be using a drop of RC oil under my nose, and a drop of Thyme oil under my big toes. These are the 2 regimes that I’ve heard the most positive results from with snorers.”

Valor is a beautiful blend that contains oils of Spruce (Picea mariana), rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora), blue tansy (Tanacetum annuum) and frankincense (Boswellia carteri) in a base of almond oil

RC is perfect for sinus pain, allergies and anything impacting your breathing. This blends contains Eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, myrtus communis oil, pinus sylvestris (pine) leaf oil, origanum majorana (marjoram) leaf oil, eucalyptus radiata leaf oil, eucalyptus citriodora leaf oil, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, cupressus sempervirens oil, tsuga canadensis leaf oil, and mentha piperita (peppermint) oil.

Essential oil get rid of Strep throat – testimonial

Ever have strep throat and not want to do the whole antibiotic thing? Here’s what one person did, with great results:

My 6 year old had strep last year. He had 103 temp with white patches on the back of his throat….I decided to try the YL products first before I tried antibiotics. I am soooo happy I did.

This is what we did:

1. I dropped 1 drop of lemon on the back of his throat ( I think he let me do this twice in one day)

2. Then I dropped a couple drops of Thieves in honey and had him suck on that – about 1 TBS.

3. I also made a some warm tea with honey, Thieves and Lemon and had him sip on that. (In fact, I have this mixture with added RC every morning for myself).

4. I was also applying Thieves to his throat and feet.**

By the next morning he was pretty much back to normal. Hope that helps!

Frankincense and Cancer cells

Here is an article from the Oklahoman newspaper about research at the University of Oklahoma using frankincense on bladder cancer cells:

Cypress essential oil for nosebleeds…and more

The oil of Cypress, which can be so helpful for all kinds of circulation issues including edema and varicose/spider veins, is also helpful for stopping nosebleeds! This was explained at the Young Living Convention in a fantastic class by Dr. Peter Minke on emergency first aid with the oils. Here is what one YL member says about how it works for her family:

Cypress for nosebleeds! My 12 year old son gets nosebleeds frequently. Dr. Minke said during his class at Grand Convention to put cypress on the inside of each forearm (there are big veins there and that’s one of the fastest ways to get the oils into the blood stream). I’ll do 2 applications on each arm and his nose stops bleeding in under 1-2 minutes every time.

Cypress is one of the oils in the “Oils of Ancient Scripture” set and is also available as a single oil. It’s been used for thousands of years! What else is it good for? Read on!

CYPRESS (cupressus sempervirens) The oil of Cypress has been used since ancient times for purification and as incense. Cypress is one of the oils most used for the circulatory system. Because it assists in moving stagnant matter, it actually assists many systems of the body: circulatory, digestive, urinary, and integumentary (skin). It helps with cellulite, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, fluid retention, constipation, edema, excessive perspiration, and hand and feet sweating. It is also effective for muscles and joints, the respiratory system, the reproductive system, and the nervous system.

31. Use a drop or two of Cypress where you would apply a deodorant.
32. Equal parts Cypress and Tangerine mixed with a small amount of V-6 mixing oil makes a wonderful serum for skin toning and also aids with the healing of scar tissue.
(Try five drops of each in a 5ml bottle and then fill the rest of the bottle with carrier oil.)
33. Mix several drops of Cypress with pure V-6 mixing oil and apply on location to help with arthritis discomfort. (Those with less sensitive skin may wish to try applying Cypress oil neat.)
34. Apply Cypress neat or diluted on location to ease cramping.
35. Apply a drop of Cypress to a minor injury to facilitate healing and prevent infection.
36. Rub Cypress around the nasal area to help control a nose bleed. (Avoid the eye area.)
37. Use several drops mixed with V-6 mixing oil and apply where needed as an insect repellant.
38. Diffuse Cypress, or inhale directly from the bottle to help with insomnia.
39. Help relieve acute chest discomfort and/or bronchitis by rubbing Cypress on the chest area.
40. Help strengthen blood capillaries and increase circulation by rubbing Cypress mixed with V-6 mixing oil on location. When used with Helichrysum oil, may help with varicose and spider veins.

Where does this blend come from?

As the bubonic plague decimated Europe in the year 1413, four thieves were captured and charged with robbing the dead and dying victims. When the thieves were tried, the magistrate offered leniency if they would reveal how they resisted contracting the infection as they performed their gruesome acts.
