Thieves Cleaner A Natural Alternative for Plants

Here is a wonderful testimonial that was shared with me today. Thieves Household Cleaner to the rescue! Now, tell me–how many household cleaners can you think of that can do this?!! Amazing! Check it out:

R. writes: For a number of years I have been planting lovely creeping plants beside some poles on my veranda, and losing them one by one. Being a new gardener I put it down to my ignorance about soil preparation, over watering etc.

Recently I learned about the parasites called ‘root know nematodes’ and that not only are they very common here in Central Australia , but they attack the roots of plants. “When young nematodes burrow into plant roots their feeding stimulates the production of tumour-like growths and these inhibit the plant’s ability to take up water and nutrients. The result is a weak plant, reduced growth and productivity, and plants also become susceptible to secondary fungal infections and to sudden wilting” (Wikipedia). The mystery solved, I moved into action on my 2 wilting bougainvilleas.

So, I got out my versatile Thieves Household Cleaner and twice daily for a week I added a tablespoon of Thieves Household Cleaner to a 2 litre jug of water and gave each plant 1 litre of this mix. In a week, new growth had appeared and the wilting and weakness had disappeared. Yeah!!! Another garden heartache and costly replacement avoided! Love the oils!

I have been using the Thieves spray bottles to get rid of ants and parasites on my roses and it works wonders. Mixing a little Thieves cleaner with distilled water in a spray bottle seems like a better and more economical idea. Whichever solution you choose, Thieves spray or Thieves cleaner they are both powerful natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal solutions that can safely be used anywhere around the house even around small children and pets.

Enjoy!

Emotional Release and Essential Oils

While it is not too difficult to comprehend the medicinal benefits one can derive from plant based essential oils it might be a little more challenging to understand why and how essential oils affect our mood and emotions.

As a modern society we have greatly evolved in many way and unfortunately regressed in others. As we grow older we tend to become more and more closed to our emotions, not letting them get in the way. We ignore, fight, repress these powerful energies that are our negative feelings. The energy attached to our now stored negative emotions does not simply disappear, it attaches to our energetic body. Over time this negative energy can strengthen with recurring negative thought forms and continued repression and storage of new negative experiences.

Unless released or removed from the aura these blockages can have a direct effect on the physical body leading to pain, imbalance and unfortunately even disease.

“The limbic system, or old brain, is particularly affected, as the memory of trauma is stored in this “seat of emotions”. Studies conducted at New York University proved that the amygdala (gland of the limbic system that stores and releases emotional trauma) ONLY releases emotional trauma through the sense of smell. It does not respond to sound, sight or touch.” healingaia Holistic Wellness

Pure therapeutic grade essential oils access and trigger the limbic system almost immediately upon inhalation, bypassing the ego and the mind, allowing us to unlock and release “emotional baggage” from cellular memory. While essential oils are powerful tools on their own they become even stronger healing tools when accompanied by massage, meditation or better yet: Etheric Healing.

“Once we give ourselves permission to truly feel and let go, we can shift our perspective, learn our lessons, and uplift our consciousness. For these reasons, essential oils are also the perfect starting point for one’s healing journey because they access and clear layers of emotion and trauma that we may not be conscious of, or may have been blocking our ability to progress and move forward.” healingaia Holistic Wellness

I use essential oils daily and was amazed when I experienced healingaia’s channeled essential oils blends. Their frequency is unlike any I have experienced and when used with their regimen these blends allow you to experience true emotional release and balance. All their blends are energetically imprinted with healing energies adding to their already divine balancing energy. There are currently five blends available, each has been channeled with a specific intention and for a specific purpose. I have tried them all and invite you to read more about each one and experience these powerful blends for yourself.

Magnify your purpose

Wow what a name! Magnify your purpose is one of my favorite Young Living blends, I use it during meditation, when I undertake a big project or simply when I want to feel inspired. This delicious essential oil blend contains sandalwood, rosewood, sage, nutmeg, patchouli, cinnamon bark and ginger. It is a perfect balance of light flowery fragrance, with spice and earthiness.

Sage and sandalwood help calm, clear and inspire your busy mind making space for quiet moments of relaxation and new ideas. Apply a drop to your wrists and to your palms, cup your nose with your hands.  Inhale slowly through the nose and exhale through the mouth. Focus on positive thoughts, see yourself as you would like to be or better yet think nothing. Enjoy the quiet even for just a few seconds. Once you are done with your meditation, write down five things you are grateful for and do this daily if you can. You might slowly notice a shift in your reality, over time difficult things might seem easier and you might realize the importance of giving you the time you deserve. It’s all about finding balance speed and multitasking is fine as long as you can give yourself time to regularly do something you truly enjoy preferable something that does not involve loud noises, a screen or intense stimulation.

Enjoy!

Magnify your purpose is sold in 5ml bottles Customer price: $41.78 – click here to find out how to get a 24% discount on this oil and all YL products.

Stop nosebleeds with Essential Oils

Here is a great tip brought back from the recent Young Living convention. “My oldest son has a nose bleed, so I put Cypress oil on his arm. It goes into the veins very quickly and his nose bleed stops.” Cypress is a delightful oil used in Raindrop technique for it’s effect on the circulatory system.

We observe our children, and we know when they are getting sick.  This is the time to act. We put several drops of Thieves or Immupower under their feet. And more often than not they feel better within 12 to 48hours.

Lemon Essential Oil – Testimonial

My husband and son were working on the car yesterday and came in with super
glue all over their fingers. In their haste to deal with getting it off
their fingers, they set the sticky tube on the glass top to my stove. An
hour or so later, they discovered the tube stuck to the stove top! Thank
heavens for lemon oil! I put it on and let it set for about 5-10 minutes
straight (no dilution). I then took a spatula and scraped the super glue
right off without damaging my stove cook top!

Lemon Oil to the rescue!

Discover the Benefits of Group Acupuncture

I recently sat down with Tiffany K. Pollard MS, L.Ac., LMP owner of Synergy Wellness Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Center in Kirkland WA to ask her a few questions about an exciting new treatment method called Group Acupuncture.

What is “Group Acupuncture” and Why Should I Try It?!

Group style acupuncture is growing increasingly popular in progressive cities across America… And for good reason. Let me begin by explaining what it is: Beyond the obvious (acupuncture given in a group setting rather than one-on-one), it is a way to receive care that in many ways transcends the benefits of “private” treatments.

1. Just as with anything that is done in a group, the effects can be amplified. That is right… The results can actually be more effective both on the physical and on the mental-emotional level.
2. Your appointment time is shorter which frees up more of your precious time!.
3. The cost is greatly reduced, making this an incredibly affordable way to practice self-care, to recover from pain/injury, or treat any of the other imbalances that acupuncture is known to help. In some centers the cost of a treatment is less than what a couple would spend eating out; less that what most people spend on coffee and snacks during one day!

As soon as I learned about the concept of Group Acupuncture I knew we were on to something amazing! Its time has come. We are in desperate need of affordable, preventive and holistic care. Not just any care… Medicine that is known, proven over thousands of years to work… Sometimes miraculously. And everyone deserves access to this care; money should not be an obstacle!

So let me go ahead and ask some basic questions to help everyone understand what to expect from this group experience:

Is there any privacy or does everyone get to hear what I say? Answer: We have a lovely room; dimly lit, peaceful and calming with music playing as well as a “white noise” machine going. It is pretty hard to hear what others are saying unless they are talking loud.
Do I have to take clothes off? Answer: No. Just your shoes and socks, and maybe a sweater of jacket if you are wearing one. Wear comfortable clothes (workout gear works great). We just need to be able to access your arms and lower legs.
Is it as effective as a private treatment? Answer: Yes! And in some ways even more so.
What if I can’t relax with others in the room? Answer: It may be a bit of an adjustment at first, but I have never had anyone complain about this. In fact in most cases folks report that it is even more relaxing!
How often do I need to come? Answer: Depends on what you are being treated for. Sometimes people come in 2 times per week for a couple of weeks, then decrease to once per week, then down to a “tune-up” schedule of what works for them (usually once per month or per season).

Not all Group Acupuncture rooms are created equal!

At Synergy Wellness Center in Kirkland WA, we have a truly amazing space. Almost everyone falls in love with it immediately. We have comfortable massage tables to lay on (and they are kept very clean). It is warm and cozy. And we use only the best in treatment supplies and essential oils… Which leads me to another key point: When you receive a treatment at Synergy it is no ordinary experience. We use a combination of strategically placed acu-points, essential oil medicine, and powerful energy work. This is far more potent and powerful than acupuncture alone.

We have stellar Practitioners at Synergy. Each one is highly trained and has particular areas of expertise. We all spend considerable time and money on continued higher education and training so that we can bring the very cutting edge of this medicine to you. I might be a bit biased as the owner of Synergy :) , but being a teacher of Chinese Medicine myself, I am also extremely selective about choosing who I work with (and who works on you). I have received treatment from each one of our gifted Practitioners and do not bat an eyelid as I recommend them whole-heartedly to you!

I hope to see you soon, and please feel free to call or email with any questions.

I would like to Thank Tiffany for her time and congratulate her on her amazing wellness center. Discover more about Group Acupuncture as well as all the other holistic therapies offered at Synergy on their website. http://www.thesynergywellnesscenter.com/

Essential Oils for Snoring

Attention all you partners of snorers:
Here are some oils that have worked well for some in reducing or stopping snoring. Now these may not work for everyone but it sure is worth trying don’t you think?
Here are two solutions gathered from testimonials I have received recently:
“Valor on the feet at bedtime has usually done the trick to stop my husband’s snoring and apnea.
If I was snoring, I’d be using a drop of RC oil under my nose, and a drop of Thyme oil under my big toes. These are the 2 regimes that I’ve heard the most positive results from with snorers.”
Valor is a beautiful blend that contains oils of Spruce (Picea mariana), rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora), blue tansy (Tanacetum annuum) and frankincense (Boswellia carteri) in a base of almond oil
RC is perfect for sinus pain, allergies and anything impacting your breathing. This blends contains Eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, myrtus communis oil, pinus sylvestris (pine) leaf oil, origanum majorana (marjoram) leaf oil, eucalyptus radiata leaf oil, eucalyptus citriodora leaf oil, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, cupressus sempervirens oil, tsuga canadensis leaf oil, and mentha piperita (peppermint) oil.
Thyme is a “hot” oil and should be diluted with a couple drops of vegetable oil before being applied to the skin.
If ever you experience any burning rinse the essential oil with vegetable oil, never use water as this will only help spread the oil.
Enjoy and let me know if any of these tips have helped you!

Lavender Lemonade Recipe

LAVENDER LEMONADE RECIPE
This is a drink that has been served at the Farm in Mona, Utah during our Convention Farm Day Tour, and
gets rave reviews.

7 lemons, peeled & juiced
2 limes, peeled & juiced
14 cups water
1-1/2 cups Blue Agave
1 drop lavender essential oil

Mix all ingredients together and chill. Add more water or Blue Agave, depending on the size and tartness of the fruit.
For most of us, this would be a very large amount; you can cut it in half, while still adding 1 drop of the oil.  VERY refreshing!

Lavender is so versatile…check my blog for two more testimonials from my son (and his cat): www.darbysoilsinfo.com
